특별전시실
동곡실은 다양한 특별전시회가 열리는 문화공간으로 행소박물관이 소장하고 있는 민화를 정기적으로 전시하는 공간이기도 합니다.
행소박물관 소장 민화에는 꽃과 새, 용, 신선, 산수, 호랑이, 사냥 그림, 설화 그림, 인물 그림, 책거리, 물고기, 문자 그림 등 다양한 소재가 그려져 있어서 우리나라 사람들의 미의식과 소망이 잘 나타나 있습니다.
동곡실의 동곡(東谷)은 1977년 계명대학교 사학과 교수 겸 초대 박물관장으로 부임하여 27년간 박물관을 운영해 온 김종철 명예 교수의 아호입니다.
The special exhibition gallery. Various special exhibitions have been held here. Sometimes special exhibitions of genre paintings in Hengso Museum’s collection have been held in this gallery.
The major collections of genre paintings owned by the museum range from genre paintings of the ten longevity symbols, auspicious animals, immortals, flowers and birds to ones on hunting, figures, fishes, and folk tales.
These themes well reflect the traditional wishes and humor of the Korean people.
The name ‘Donggok’ of the Donggok gallery comes from the pen name of the emeritus professor Kim Jong-cheol, who was the director of the Keimyung University Museum for 27 years since its opening in 1978.
