계명대학교 행소박물관에 오신 것을 환영합니다.
계명대학교 행소박물관은 1978년 5월 대명캠퍼스에서 개관한 이래 다양한 유적의 발굴조사와 학술대회 개최 및 특별전시와 사회교육 활동을 하며 대구·경북지역의 역사와 문화를 보여주는 문화공간으로 자리잡아 왔습니다.
그리고 2004년 5월 20일 성서캠퍼스의 새로운 박물관 건물에서 새롭게 출발하게 되었습니다.
2개의 상설전시실과 1개의 특별전시실, 행소기념실로 구성된 500여 평의 전시실과 시청각실 등의 교육시설을 갖춘 행소박물관은 지역사회의 역사와 문화뿐만 아니라 한국 문화와 역사를 체계적으로 보여주는 생활 속의 열린 박물관으로 도약하고자 노력하고 있습니다.
‘행소(行素)’는 계명대학교 신일희 총장의 아호이며 그 의미는 소박하고 겸허하게 행한다는 뜻입니다.
행소박물관에는 약 2만여 점의 유물이 소장되어 있고 그 중에서 박물관을 대표하는 유물 2천여 점이 전시되어 있습니다.
Hengso Museum of Keimyung University has organized many archaeological expeditions, academic conferences, and special exhibitions, as well as diverse educational programs since its opening in May, 1978 so that it has now gained recognition as an outstanding cultural institution exhibiting artefacts representing not only local culture and history but also the culture and history of Korea.
This new museum building was opened on the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of Keimyung University on May 20, 2004 and was named Hengso Museum after the pen name of Dr. Synn Ilhi, President, Keimyung University.
The museum has four exhibition galleries, including one special exhibition gallery on the ground floor.
Hengso Museum has about twenty thousand artefacts in its collection, of which two thousand unique artefacts of high quality are currently on display.
