Welcome, and thank you for visiting the Department of Urban Planning at Keimyung University. Our department was first established in 1980 as the Department of Urban Engineering—the first of its kind in Daegu. With a history spanning over 40 years, we are now approaching our 50th anniversary. Over the years, many of our alumni have distinguished themselves in academia and industry, contributing to the reputation and prestige of Keimyung University.
The Department of Urban Planning is committed to enhancing the quality of education and cultivating professionals who serve society. To achieve this, we go beyond the traditional boundaries of the discipline and focus on education that meets the demands of the future. In line with Keimyung University’s founding philosophy—“For the Kingdom of Truth, Justice, and Love”—we strive to deepen specialized knowledge while upholding the ideals of true education, progressive education, and service-oriented education. Our goal is to nurture creative, ethical, and forward-thinking individuals who will lead in the years to come.
Our department will continue to grow as a center of academic excellence, fostering talented individuals not only in the Yeongnam region but also across Korea and the world.
